One of the gemstones growing in popularity is Larimar. It is only found and mined in one square Kilometer on the face of the earth. That is in the Dominican. It has beautiful aqua shades. This picture is of one that I wire wrapped in Sterling Silver.

Yellow Turquoise
Hi everyone!I did not fall off the face of the earth again, I have just been extremely busy with custom orders. I have been getting lots of questions lately about Yellow Turquoise and I thought I would share with all what I have found out.
Although it looks alot like a type of turquoise, it is not actually a turquoise at all. It is a blend of Quartz and Jasper. It does often occur in the same mines as Turquoise. Much of it originates from South Africa.
I find it stunning but I do have a problem with it being called "Turquoise". I use alot of Quartz and Jasper because of their exotic looks, simply call it what it is and your customers will thank you for it. Visit me soon at http://zonakid.com/ .
